One cannot imagine that any developmental process can be made significant without providing any communication facilities and extension activities. The manufacturers of tractors, trucks, railway wagons will not teach the farmers how to grow more food. The road engineers are not going to tell them how, and when to irrigate. Even the factories of chemical fertilizers are not responsible to tell the farmers about the composition of their products. But incidentally and effortfully all of them are working for the single target of growing more food. I hope this makes you aware of the importance of Mass Communication and extension work in any developmental process.
